Jennifer Linting; Director of Community Relations

Jennifer is a Michigan native and graduate of Michigan State University. Her love for the outdoors and desire to be in the mountains brought her to Lake Tahoe in 2000. She has a diverse professional background comprised of several different sales and management positions, marketing, corporate development, social media, public relations and event planning. Jennifer believes that the people power the success and development of any organization. She attributes her success to being able to develop and maintain quality relationships with clients and coworkers.

Jennifer had often volunteered her time with local non-profit groups but struggled with whether or not her contributions were making a difference. She met GWOF co-founder Dusty Wunderlich in 2010 and immediately wanted to become involved. The big difference she sees in working with GWOF as opposed to her previous non-profit work is the ability to see the results of the projects with GWOF. “I love that we can see an idea through from the initial thought to the final result, whether it’s a scholarship, or an international project,” Jennifer says, “We are involved in all aspects of every project from start to finish, and have the ability to see the results of the generosity of our supporters, as well as the hard work of our team firsthand. As a result, the projects we become involved with are very near and dear to our hearts. It’s been a wonderful experience to be a part of this team.”

Jennifer has been instrumental in the planning and execution of the events for the foundation. Some of the previous positions in her career included event planning, and that has been a huge asset to GWOF. “Jennifer is one of the most dedicated and talented individuals I have had the opportunity to work with,” says Dusty Wunderlich, “Her passions and dedication to humanitarian efforts and local causes is inspiring.” She has been able to secure local sponsors for several GWOF events, increase fundraising efforts, and increase the exposure and overall awareness of the foundation.
